UPDATES

6/22/08 So!  Here we go!  Four months after the first promise of a site revision, it's finally happening.  Fancy new logos, updated pictures without watermarks because they were ugly and in the way, a navigation bar at the top of every page, and sleeker gallery index pages.  Also, a lot of my tutorials have new photos, and I got rid of the ones that were pretty much the same as others have done before me (basic weave construction for Boxchain, Byzantine, HP3, Inverted RM).  There's also some less exciting behind-the-scenes file hierarchy revision that makes me a lot happier, although it's not visible to you the visitor.  Plus the usual stuff: in four months I've come up with a few new pieces and one entirely brand new tutorial, Handmade Toggle Clasp.
2/27/08 Well, this is rather singular, isn't it?  It has been nearly two weeks since my last post promising a new site, and, quite frankly, there is nothing new to be seen!
Reader, I have a confession.
Last night at 1:00 AM I had two hundred pages left to read of Les Miserables.  The week before, at 12:30 AM, I was finishing a seven-page English essay, and the night before that it was a book report for Chemistry.  The truth is, I've been swamped; the quicksand has me, and I'm sinking past the hips.  I have twelve weeks left in high school.  I have a fatal combination of senioritis -- that plague of twelfth graders -- and four advanced classes.  Reader, this is my humble excuse; I entreat your forgiveness, kind soul, and ask you to understand that the promised update may be rather farther in the future than I had anticipated.
2/14/08 So the good news is, this site is in for a bit of a re-design.  I've been working on a new version behind the scenes, and will upload it all at once when it's ready.  But here's the bad news: about three days into the work, I got hit with a nasty cold that has reduced my higher brain functions to approximately those of a latter-day Neanderthal.  SO, instead of trying to work and ending up lobbing the computer mouse at the nearest Cro-Magnon, I'm just taking it easy for a few days (armchair with cat on lap and cough drops close at hand).  Which was all a lengthy explanation for: this site will be revamped, later than I expected, but probably within the next week or so.  Bottom line: new shiny stuff, one week! *grunt* *ugh*
12/2/07 It's been a while, so I've got a lot to add.  See New Pictures for a list.
8/28/07 There are new photos on the Onyx Cabochons, Hammered Steel Coif, and Avatars pages.  Additionally, I've added a new piece, the Spring Leaf Ring.  And I'm fiddling with the site graphics again.  You'll see a fuzzy grey border on the newest photos; eventually, this will be done to all the photos on this site.  It eliminates hard edges between the picture and the background, and makes them a little more integrated.
8/16/07 I am taking full advantage of the fact that my last TRL order included 10 oz. of sterling silver.  (I've never had so much silver in my life...it's so beautiful...)
Here's a list of new pictures, including three new silver necklaces, a base metals necklace, and some updated photos of older pieces.
7/20/07 Hi, I'm back!  Poland was cool.  They have a different alphabet, good food, lots of amber ("bursztyn"), and riveted hauberks.
Here are two pictures that I didn't have time to put up before I left:  Phoenix Inlay Handflower and Fairy Inlay.
6/12/07 Added two more pictures:  a new tie and some new juggling balls.
Also (quite unrelated but exciting), I'm off to visit Poland in just over a week.  My first time overseas!  I'm especially excited to visit Wawel Castle in Krakow.
Now, on whether I can learn a new language in ten days of immersion...we'll see.
5/28/07 My next big show is June 16, so I'm getting stocked up for that.  I've made a bunch of new jewelry, of which I have many new pictures.
4/29/07 Continuing to replace old pictures, and adding some new ones.  See here for a list.  Also, presenting an all-new tutorial:  Constructing Hoodoo Pendants.
3/18/07 There are some really ratty pictures in my Jewelry gallery, so I'm going through and replacing the ones that I can (as in, the ones whose subject is still in my possession).  New Pictures has a list of the ones I've replaced so far.
3/2/07 Two things.  First, the Paint It Blue set (guess I'm into blue lately).  Second, some new earrings.
2/6/07 Continuing work by grace of a snow day closing the school, I've added a couple new pictures:  Triple-Strand Bracelet and a variant on my Compass Rose necklace.
2/4/07 Added a couple new pictures from a recent commission: Tree of Gondor Inlay and Second Flail.  Plus edited some of the pages...I'm getting rid of the old Weaves and Tiles pages.  Sorry if you liked them, but they're really pretty pointless.  To compensate, however, I have added a brand new About Me/Contact page.  Oh, and there are a few shiny new graphics and logos on some of the main pages, like this one.  Isn't that logo sparkly?  I like it...
12/18/06 Introducing the Jewelry Section version 3.0 -- it is now split into three parts, being Noble Metals, Vogue Metals, and Base Metals.  As for new pictures: well, I've got a whole new page of Vogue Metal jewelry, plus a few other new pictures scattered throughout the site.
10/26/06 Four new pictures: Dragonscale Cuff, Titanium and Sterling Viperscale, Graduated Boxchain, and my GVSU Renaissaince Faire booth.
8/25/06 Golly, would you look at that!  Two updates in as many days!
Adding a new tutorial, Constructing Whirlybirds.
8/23/06 More new pictures.
8/11/06 Got new and better pictures of all of the tools on my Tools page, which also applies to the pictures in my Beginner's Tutorial.  Most of the tools just got revamped with nice new black handles, hence the occasion for updating pictures.
6/15/06 Not much added today.  I just finished my Scale Purse, and had to get pictures quickly before taking it to my next show and potentially selling it.
6/12/06 Yet more New Pictures.  I'm really liking my digital camera.
4/22/06
Happy birthday William Shakespeare, by the way.
New Pictures have been added.
4/2/06
Two new tutorials for you:  Constructing HP Braid Sheet and Constructing Hoodoo.  Enjoy.
3/12/06
Edited a couple pages, and added some new pictures.
2/4/06
Split the burgeoning Jewelry section into two new subsections: Precious Metals and Heavy Metals.  Also added a few new pictures.
12/4/05
Added a lot of new pictures.
11/13/05
I have a digital camera now, yippee!  So I'll be adding a lot more pictures.  And I also added some pictures of my hauberk that I left at Walgreens for three months, oops.
10/6/05
Added a new tutorial.
9/26/05
Fooled around with the graphics on the site a bit; the links at the tops of the main pages should now be a little more visible, and the image in the HTML bar at the top of the page is different.  If you've been here before, you may need to reload the page to see any difference.  Also, added some new pictures, and changed the pictures on the Other Pictures page into thumbnails for larger pics (rather than just miniscule pictures).
8/1/05
Excellent news!  Eye Candy, a gallery in Grand Rapids, Michigan, has taken notice of my work.  I now have about a dozen necklaces and bracelets on consignment there.  The address is 1479 Lake Drive, Grand Rapids, MI, USA, in case any of my site visitors are passing through that way and want to take a look.  Also, added some new pictures.
6/8/05
Final exams are done at last, I can now start mailling in earnest!  Added some new pictures, and changed up some of the graphics a bit.
4/23/05
Added a guestbook for visitors to contact me or just leave comments.
4/7/05
Changed the entry page graphics a little, and fixed a bizarre problem with some of the pictures throughout the site.  Also added new pictures and another tutorial.
3/25/05 Well, with 200 visitors to the website since January 17, I've decided that it has sufficiently matured for me to justify having a page devoted to updates.  Also, I finally got a couple rolls of film developed and added a whole bunch of new pictures, as well as a new "Other Pictures" catch-all page.
