"Las Vegas" Purse
Well, actually, the only qualification this one has for its title is
that it goes with my skirt, which I'm calling the Las Vegas skirt.
But hey, it's shiny and exotic, it qualifies.
Points of interest include the rim, which is a Half Persian edging with rubber rings so that it can expand with the rest of the purse. Also, the bottom seam, another Half Persian chain, which solves the problem of opposing grains at the bottom of the purse (difficult to appreciate if you've never made a chainmaille purse, but the rows never match up around the edges of a tube like this -- Half Persian is just a particular seam that achieves the necessary reversal of the grain direction). Finally, the strap, which is faux (as in vinyl) black snakeskin that I stumbled over (almost literally) at Hobby Lobby.
