Labradorite Choker
Utterly simple and
simply elegant.
My first Half Persian-wrapped cabochon, which is not even, technically, a cabochon. It is a top-drilled oval piece of labradorite (yes, that's really the name -- I think it comes from the same place as the dog breed), but I preferred wrapping it with a chain to somehow mounting it on a wire. The chain fits snugly over the stone, and is held in place with a layer of clear epoxy around the edges.
The piece is laced in the back with a full yard of dark blue silk cord. See below for modeled photos.
