Amethyst Fringe Choker
This choker has thirty lengths of
silver fringe
made from tiny links that took me most of a summer to make.
(That's right, no mass fabricated curb chain for me.) Three
drops
of amethyst are hung between the fringes, just to make it a little
jazzier. I started making the fringe
in the summer of 2004, then ordered the wrong size stainless steel
links for the choker part. I didn't resume the project until
February 2005, at which point I decided to make my own links, out of
silver instead of stainless.
Rings:
16 ga 7/32" ID
24 ga, wrapped around 16 ga wire
Silver-plated
In the European 4-1 and simple 1-1 chain weaves.
