Now here's a hunk of metal for ya.  Since it's about an inch and a half wide, and since silver actually weighs more than steel (interesting bit of trivia, no?), this thing probably weighs between two and three ounces.  I haven't actually weighed it yet, though, so that is just an estimate.  At any rate, it will NOT let itself go unnoticed.  I ended up putting two clasps on it to be sure neither one would be overtaxed.
