I started with a Hoodoo chain, then joined the ends to make a circle.  I added a few copper and brass rings as embellishment, hence a pendant.  The chain followed.

The eight points of the pendant make me think of the points of a compass rose.  You may also see a sunburst, or a Wheel of Life...whatever floats your boat.

This is a bit of a signature design for me, so I've started coming up with variant pieces.  Below the main one are a couple of the others I've come up with.

If you really like this design, I've now got a tutorial for the pendant -- I'd be interested to see what variants other people put together.  (Yes, yes, seeing as how I've made a tutorial, fellow artisans are quite welcome to use the design.)
